Thanks to the children of the 4th grade class who sponsored the 11:15am Mass last week. Special thanks to their teacher, Virginia Horton, for preparing the students. Thanks also to the members of the Church Beautification Ministry for preparing flower baskets for the Offertory.
Important Changes to the CCD Calendar
We have recently been informed that the Diocese intends to start renovations on the school in May. As a result, all non-Sacramental classes will end on Sunday, May 5th. Please note:
- All First Holy Communion Classes (including the 'older students') - last class will be Sunday, May 19th
- Confirmation Class - last class will be Sunday, May 12th
- All other classes (Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grades 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and Pre-Confirmation) - last class will be Sunday, May 5th.
First Holy Communion Banners
Please note that all FHC Banners were due on Sunday, April 14th. If you have not yet handed in your banner, please do so immediately. You may drop off banners in the CCD office on Sunday morning between 8:45 and 11:15am. Please be sure that your child's FIRST and LAST names appear on the front of the banner. Thank you for your cooperation.
Teacher Appreciation Mass
CCD classes take place over 28 weeks from September through May but the time commitment of those people who volunteer to help educate our children in our faith is far greater. Please join us on Sunday, May 5th at the 11:15am Mass to give thanks to those who have given so generously of their time and talents.
Confirmation Students
Commitment/Service Hours Reflection Reports are due on Sunday, April 28th.
Upcoming Events
- Thursday, May 16th at 4:30pm: MANDATORY rehearsal for Confirmation Mass. All Confirmation students and their sponsors MUST attend. Please be prompt as we cannot start until all are present.
- Saturday, May 18th at 6pm: CONFIRMATION MASS. Students and Sponsors to be in parish hall by 4:45pm.
- Wednesday, May 22nd at 4:30pm: FIRST HOLY COMMUNION REHEARSAL FOR GROUP ONE (8:45am classes). All students and at least one parent MUST attend. Please be prompt as we cannot start until all are present.
- Thursday, May 23rd at 4:30pm: FIRST HOLY COMMUNION REHEARSAL FOR GROUP TWO (10am class and 'older students'). All students and at least one parent MUST attend. Please be prompt as we cannot start until all are present.
- Saturday, May 25th at 11:30am: GROUP ONE First Holy Communion Mass. Students to be in parish hall by 10:45am. At 3:00pm: GROUP TWO First Holy Communion Mass. Students to be in parish hall by 2:15pm.
